FrazionCINE

FrazionCINE is a traveling festival that began in 2021 as a film series, aimed at extending cultural activities from the town center to the surrounding hamlets. Since 2022, the program has expanded to include puppet shows, theater performances, and book presentations.

The distance between the center and the outlying areas is bridged through a unified program, where events in the town alternate with those in San Martino, Sant’Ermete, Canonica, San Michele, and San Vito—a single schedule for a single community.

FrazionCINE was made possible thanks to collaboration with local Pro Loco associations and Cinema Du Desert. The latter is a traveling solar-powered cinema project created by Davide Bortot and Francesca Truzzi using a modified truck, transformed into a home, a vehicle, and a zero-impact cinema, powered by solar panels.

Over the years, the association has brought films to places where they would never otherwise reach, traveling across three continents and setting up cinemas in some of the most remote villages in the world—from Mongolia to Ivory Coast, from Romania to Burkina Faso.
