“FoCuS è” — a promotional campaign to present the Fondazione Culture Santarcangelo

New image, new coordinated logos, new colors, and dedicated websites tell the story of the novelties at the Fondazione FoCuS.

But “under the surface” there are just as many new things to discover, rediscover, and experience within the institutions. These changes are the result of the reorganization the Foundation has undergone in recent years and the PNRR funds obtained and swiftly translated into projects and innovations.

The implementation of Sanlab in the Baldini Library (a Fablab with a Santarcangelo twist), tactile routes at Musas, the opening of the heritage storage area at Met that is now open to visitors — these are just the beginning. Meanwhile, the new Met is being completely renovated and rethought internally.

FoCuS is the Foundation that manages the Municipal Museums, Met and Musas, and the Baldini Library. It handles the conception and development of events, planning artistic interventions and promoting the territory through expanded services and spaces dedicated to cultural offerings. For the Municipality of Santarcangelo, it organizes the summer, Christmas, and New Year’s event calendars, as well as cultural events linked to equal opportunities, youth creativity, and contemporary art.

The promotional campaign titled “FoCuS è” tells the story of changes achieved thanks to work done over the last three years with PNRR funding, securing about €700,000 in projects.

Along with the rebranding, it has been possible to redesign the role of the cultural institutions, aiming to widen the audience and target groups, with the belief that facilitating everyone’s access to cultural offerings enhances community well-being.

Starting with the Supercinema, which reopened after a long energy-efficiency renovation with a new project and identity: C’entro. The new management, realized with Santarcangelo dei Teatri, offers a diversified program capable of welcoming and engaging anyone wishing to enrich their participation, in a space designed to foster the creative drive of communities. Not only consumption, but also education and artistic and cultural production.

While awaiting the completion of the new Met, the municipal museums have redesigned their visit layout.

Thanks to PNRR accessibility funding, Musas will offer a new way to narrate historical and human stories, through tools that create a dialogue between visual and tactile approaches combined with new technologies. In the heart of the city, a new multisensory, engaging path suitable for all, to experience firsthand.

Met is making the most of the long forced closure for renovation works on the museum’s central building (find project info at this link www.comune.santarcangelo.rn.it/elementi-per-homepage/notizie/museo-etnografico-tutti-i-dettagli-dell2019intervento-di-restauro-approvato-dalla-giunta), turning it into an opportunity for new discoveries, thanks to the opening of new exhibition spaces like the now-visit-able Deposito Patrimoniale (Heritage Storage) and the MEET garden, the museum courtyard that is increasingly open and accessible to all. Two spaces that continue to remind us that our roots open new horizons.

Finally, the Baldini Library, which—although it did not receive PNRR funds—has succeeded in regenerating its identity as the “cultural beating heart” of the Santarcangelo community. It is a place woven of relationships where everyone can find their own space thanks to a broad cultural offering suitable for all ages and needs. Study and work rooms, author meetings organized through the new series “Letture liminali” (Liminal Readings), workshops, activities, reading groups, and FabLab technologies all help transform Baldini into a library that goes beyond books.
