Call for Applications for Regional Civil Service 2024 Published

The Regional Civil Service is an opportunity offered by the Emilia-Romagna Region for young people aged 18 to 29 to invest several months of their lives in activities connected to the territory and community. It aims to promote peace, social justice, active citizenship, and non-violent, unarmed defense through participation in projects involving assistance, civil protection, enhancement of historical, artistic, and cultural heritage, education and cultural and social promotion, urban regeneration, social agriculture, promotion of peace among peoples, and nonviolence.
The Civil Service is a formative and personal growth experience, including general training based on the principles and history of Civil Service, and specific training focused on the intervention areas of individual projects.
The project “Cultural Conjunctions” takes place in Valmarecchia and Rimini and involves activities aimed at promoting citizen participation in cultural offerings of the territory to prevent the risk of marginalization in accessing cultural spaces and content by vulnerable groups.

- Biblioteca A. Baldini – Via G. Pascoli 3, Santarcangelo di Romagna (2 positions)
- Comune di Poggio Torriana – Via Roma 25, Poggio Berni (1 position)
- Biblioteca Comunale di Novafeltria – Via Saffi 79, Novafeltria (2 positions, 1 reserved for residents or domiciled in internal or mountainous areas)
- Musei Comunali – Via dei Cavalieri 26, Rimini (2 positions)
- Biblioteca Malatestiana – Piazza M. Bufalini 1, Cesena (2 positions)
- Biblioteca Comunale di Cesenatico – Piazza Ciceruacchio 21, Cesenatico (2 positions)
Interested candidates aged 18 to 29 must submit their applications online to the institution responsible for the chosen project/co-project via the HeliosERGiovani platform.
The “Cultural Conjunctions” project lasts 9 months and requires a commitment of 20 hours per week, distributed over five days, with a monthly stipend of €440.10.
Applications must be submitted online through the platform dol-er.regione.emilia-romagna.it no later than 2:00 PM on Monday, July 15, 2024.
Eligibility requirements:
Candidates eligible for selection must be Italian citizens or citizens of other European Union countries, or non-EU citizens legally residing in Italy, without distinction of gender, cultural or religious background, social class, residence, or citizenship. At the time of application, candidates must have completed 18 years of age and not have exceeded 29 years and 364 days. They must also meet the following conditions (to be maintained until the end of the Regional Civil Service, except for age):
- Not have received any final or non-final sentence of imprisonment over one year for intentional crimes, or any sentence (even lesser) for crimes against persons, or concerning possession, use, carrying, transport, import, or export of weapons or explosives, or crimes related to membership or support of subversive, terrorist, or organized crime groups;
- Be resident or domiciled in Italy;
- For candidates from other countries, comply with current regulations regarding the stay of EU and non-EU citizens in Italy, excluding permits for tourism, seasonal work, or permits shorter than 12 months (except asylum requests).
