YUKU and the Flower of the Himalayas

In a castle guarded by a vain big cat, the charming little mouse Yuku reluctantly agrees to help her mother gather food but prefers listening to her beloved grandmother’s readings, usually accompanied by her ukulele. After an attack by the cat and the grandmother’s injury caused by collapsing books in the library, Yuku embarks on a journey to find the magical Himalayan flower, nourished by pure light, to save her grandmother from eternal darkness. Along the way, Yuku follows the footsteps of her favorite story and faces many obstacles and dangers, helped by the animals she meets and the music of her ukulele.

Ernest & Celestine: The Adventure of the 7 Notes

After a long hibernation, Ernest the bear wakes up hungrier than ever. Looking for money to buy food, the mouse Célestine encourages him to start playing the violin on the street again, but accidentally breaks the instrument. The only way to fix it is to go back to Ernest’s homeland, Charabie, where the violin maker still lives. Ernest and Célestine arrive in Charabie, only to discover that music and all forms of entertainment are banned by law. The strict judge—Ernest’s father—enforces these rules and tries to convince his son to comply. But who is the mysterious masked hero challenging the edict and encouraging the people to break free from the power game?

La famiglia Mallard è intrappolata nella routine dello stesso stagno. Papà Mack è felice di mantenere la famiglia al sicuro, ma mamma Pam è intenzionata a mostrare ai loro figli il mondo intero. Pam convince Mack a unirsi a uno stormo di anatre migratorie dirette verso la Giamaica. Nel tragitto, la famiglia deve affrontare i grattacieli e le sale da ballo di New York, e infine combattere contro uno chef la cui specialità è l’anatra all’arancia.

Arrietty – The Secret World Under the Floor

Sotto il pavimento di una grande casa situata in un magico e rigoglioso giardino alla periferia di Tokyo, vive Arrietty, una minuscola ragazza di 14 anni, con i suoi altrettanto minuscoli genitori. La casa è abitata da due vecchiette, che naturalmente ignorano la presenza di questa famiglia in miniatura.

Tutto ciò che Arrietty e la sua famiglia possiedono, lo “prendono in prestito”: strumenti essenziali come la cucina a gas, l’acqua e il cibo; e ancora tavoli, sedie, utensili, o prelibatezze come le zollette di zucchero. Tutto viene preso in piccolissime quantità, così che le padrone di casa non se ne accorgano.

Un giorno Sho, un ragazzo di 12 anni che deve sottoporsi a urgenti cure mediche in città, si trasferisce nella casa delle vecchiette. I genitori di Arrietty le hanno sempre raccomandato di non farsi vedere dagli umani: una volta visti, i piccoli abitanti devono lasciare il luogo in cui sono stati scoperti. L’avventurosa ragazzina, però, non li ascolta, e Sho si accorge della sua presenza. I due ragazzi iniziano a confidarsi l’uno con l’altra e, in breve tempo, nasce un’amicizia…
