Letture Liminali

Letture a Santarcangelo di Romagna

Readings in Santarcangelo di Romagna

Starting February 8, the series Letture Liminali returns, conceived and curated by Professor Giovanni Boccia Artieri for the Baldini Library. This edition’s program offers a journey through the cultural tensions that define our era.

“This year we will focus on themes exploring the transformations of personal and collective identity, the relationship between technological innovation and social imagination, and the new frontiers of language and storytelling,” explains Professor Giovanni Boccia Artieri, cultural director of the Baldini Library and curator of Letture Liminali. The series “invites us to see reading as an experience of crossing, capable of making us dwell in contradictions and grasp the signs of change around us.”

Boccia Artieri continues: “At the core of the journey lies a reflection on the complexity of human relationships and the systems we live in: from power dynamics and leadership in a world increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence, to the role of profanity as a tool of political communication. We will examine how digital technologies are redefining concepts of memory, presence, and identity, and how the sea – an ancient symbol and a contemporary metaphor – continues to inspire narratives about our relationship with the environment.”

“Each event will be an opportunity to analyze these lines of tension not as problems to solve, but as spaces for creative possibility. In a fragmented world, Letture Liminali aims to build a network of connections among disciplines, languages, and perspectives, to collectively face the challenges of the present and imagine new shared horizons.”
